Angie, determinedly awaiting the return of her brutish husband (Leo Gordon), refuses to leave their homestead despite the growing danger from nearby warring Native American tribes. And she finds herself growing more and more enthralled with this stranger, Hondo - a man hardened by experience but still capable of sympathy, kindness and love.
Price $575.00 Brand Seller Available on Telecaster DescriptionHondo Fat Boy Vintage ArchtopQuantityViewsDate Posted13Sat April 27, 2013Asking PriceShipping AmountCondition$575.00NoneGreatDescription:The Fat-Boy was Hondo's flagship guitar and is quite rare. According to Michael Wright's book 'Guitar Stories Volume One' some of Hondo's upper line guitars were actually made in the same factory that made the great Tokai lawsuit guitars.
This guitar is in very good condition and plays and sounds great. I have only personally seen one of these in person (this one) and two others online. One in a natural finish for sale.
The other (Natural also) was on a youtube video. Here's the bad stuff:Not being the original owner of this guitar, unfortunately, the pickguard has gone missing. There is a small finish chip, pictured, (about 1/4' x 1/2') on the back of the neck near the heel. Just a chip in the finish, no wood has been gouged. The master volume control pot on the lower cutaway has been replaced and works fine. The control knobs are all vintage style replacements. The washer for the Grover tuner on the face of the headstock at the B string has gone missing. There is a 2 1/2' hairline finish crack at the bridge volume control.
And, there are some very fine hairline cracks on the neck binding. Not uncommon on any vintage guitar. There is absolutely no separation of any binding on the body, neck or headstock. An SKB Hardshell case is included and is in very good condition as well. No problems to be concerned about.
